The Center for Advanced Genomic Technologies (CAGT) awarded two travel awards to current trainees. These awards will help trainees seek external opportunities to extend the scope and impact of their research by learning new methods or technologies and bring that expertise back to Duke.
Travel award winners will work with a collaborator from another research institute that is committed to hosting and training the visiting. Following this experience, the travel award winners will continue their research with their collaborators.
CAGT aims to establish a strong global network of collaborators and increase the speed and flexibility with which new methods and technologies can be established by Duke research labs. The awards will cover the financial needs to support a visit with the proposed collaborator for a brief period to initiate the collaboration.
